A Big Milestone in Winter Wonderland — and Dancing Into Valentine’s
Dear friends,
A new year always feels symbolic — a reflective reset, a deep breath, an invitation to begin again. This one feels especially meaningful. I turned 40 this year. And honestly? I’m excited.
I know myself better than I ever have.
I’m surrounded by people I deeply love.
I’m living adventures I once only dreamed about.
And I’m fully ready for where life takes me next — to keep building the projects that fulfill me, to create, to perform, to gather people through music and experience.
Forty feels strong.
It feels clear.
It feels like stepping into the next chapter with confidence — and a little extra sparkle in my eye ✨
To celebrate, I returned to a place that feels like childhood wonder: Carnaval de Québec. It wasn’t just a trip — it was a reconnection. A return to my roots.
I also spent time in Le Bic, soaking in pristine winter landscapes, breathing that crisp Québécois air, enjoying my favorite foods, and embracing the winter sports I grew up with — a true Winter Wonderland. Most importantly, I shared meaningful time with my family & friends — the kind that fills you up in a lasting way.
Snow crunching underfoot, laughter everywhere, colors dancing against the winter sky — I felt something shift. I reconnected with my inner child.
I met Bonhomme (yes, really 🥹), walked through my childhood city sharing memories with Elias, and seeing it all through his amazement made it even more special.
This season feels like a beautiful blend of reflection and forward motion — honoring the past, celebrating the present, and leaning into what’s next.
And speaking of celebration…
💘 Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and I’ll be marking it the way I love most — with music. I’m offering two musical experiences to celebrate love, connection, and atmosphere:
✨ February 14th — “Date Night” with Nuage Rhythm
📍 Park Rose — 444 Park Avenue South
🕰 6:30–10:00pm
An intimate evening of live gypsy jazz — perfect for a romantic dinner or a cozy night out with friends. Free to attend (just reserve your table with the restaurant), and we’ll bring the charm and elegance.
✨ February 15th — “Vintage Dance” Swing Evening
📍 Celebration Hall — 127-15 Kew Gardens Road, Kew Gardens, Queens 11415
🕰 7:30–10:00pm (doors open at 6:30pm)
🎟 $15 at the door
A joyful swing dance night with live band sets, performances, and a DJ on a gorgeous wooden floor. Come dressed up or as you are, with a partner or solo — and let’s dance.
Whether you’re celebrating romance, friendship, or simply the joy of being alive, it feels especially meaningful to celebrate love — and my 40th birthday — through music, community, and shared moments on the dance floor.
Here’s to new beginnings, big milestones, winter magic, and making space for joy — at every age.
With love,
Myriam Xx
