Is Spring really here?!!
Hello dear friends,
I hope you’re well! I first wish to thank you all for your wonderful feedback regarding my BBC Essay. It felt quite unreal to receive the call in the first place, and yet the topic couldn’t have been more à propos! I’m glad we could all be transported into the fascinating romance of Edith Piaf & Marcel Cerdan and its tragic ending in one song.
What an energetically intense few weeks it’s been! First, we all survived the earthquake, secondly we experienced a total eclipse and lastly, Spring has finally Sprung! I don’t know about you but I’m ready to take in the sun, enjoy the city’s blooming awakening and get ready for an eventful season upon us.
It started with a bang: last week, Nuage Rhythm was invited to participate in the first Brooklyn Wedding Fair, which yielded some nice connections. As we serenaded guests on the sunny patio, we met some lovely couples who are interested in elevating their cocktail hour with some live music for their Big Day. I’m definitely thrilled to explore the various ways we can make their musical vision come true, which is one of my favorite things! I LOVE to design the perfect musical accompaniment for all types of events but a wedding truly is a special opportunity to turn a romantic moment into magic while playing a couple’s favorite songs. <3
Speaking of which, our booking Season is in full bloom and we’re offering a 10% discount on all bookings made by May 1st, 2024 so if you know anyone who is organizing a party in the near future and would like some custom-made live music for their event, please send them our way!
In other news, Becoming Marlene Dietrich has been garnering some lovely attention. I invite you to check out this review in particular by the lovely Susan Frances who states that: “Her treatment of the verses is finessed with a distinctly soft, feminine touch and a delightfully, hypnotic resonance, setting her style apart from Dietrich's” . Ooh la la! We certainly love the sound of that :) Also, as we are working on developing a mini-tour, please don’t forget to let me know if there is a venue near you were you think the show would be a good fit; as we would love nothing more than to bring the show to you and yours.
In closing, I’m leaving you with this festive photo of the Easter Bonnet parade that took place on March 31st, 2024. As a quintessential New York activity, can you believe it was my first time?! I’m already excited for next year, and I made sure to collect the many inspirations of the day. I wish you all a wonderful month of April and to enjoy the Cherry Blossoms, which are now in full bloom… A true delight! A bientôt! Xx
